ITINERARY

DAY 1JOURNEY TO KEDARKANTHA BASE - SANKRI(9450ft | 230kms)

We begin our journey from Dehradun to Sankri, a scenic drive of approximately 8–9 hours through the beautiful mountain landscapes of Uttarakhand.
En route, we pass through Mussoorie, Purola, Mori, and Netwar, enjoying picturesque views of the Yamuna and Tons river valleys, lush pine forests, and charming mountain villages.
Upon reaching Sankri, the base village for the Kedarkantha Trek, we check in to our accommodation and relax after the long journey.
The evening will be spent at leisure, allowing us to enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings and prepare for the upcoming trek.
Stay: Sankri Homestay (comfortable dormitory accommodation).
Note: Travel time may vary depending on road conditions, weather, and traffic.

DAY 2SANKRI TO JUDA KA TALAB(9100ft | 4kms)

After breakfast, we collect our rental trekking equipment and begin our first day of trekking towards Juda Ka Talab.
Before starting the trek, all rental equipment must be checked thoroughly to ensure it is in proper working condition.
We begin our trek through dense pine and oak forests, following a gradual uphill trail surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery.
The trekking distance is approximately 4 km and takes around 3–4 hours, depending on the pace of the group and trail conditions.
Upon reaching Juda Ka Talab, we explore the beautiful high-altitude lake surrounded by dense forests and peaceful mountain landscapes. During winter, the lake may freeze, offering stunning views and a memorable camping experience.
After reaching the campsite, we settle into our tents and spend the evening enjoying the mountain surroundings.
Stay: Overnight camping at Juda Ka Talab.
Important Note Regarding Rental Equipment: All rental equipment must be returned to the rental shop at Sankri in the same condition in which it was issued. In case of any damage or loss, the applicable charges must be paid directly to the rental shop upon returning to Sankri after the trek.

DAY 3JUDA KA TALAB TO KEDARKANTHA BASE CAMP(11,250ft | 3kms)

After breakfast, we pack our belongings and continue our trek towards Kedarkantha Base Camp.
Today’s trail involves a gradual to steep ascent through beautiful forest paths and open mountain clearings, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges.
Along the way, we enjoy panoramic views of prominent peaks, including Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak, subject to weather conditions and visibility.
Upon reaching Kedarkantha Base Camp, we settle into our campsite and take time to rest and acclimatize before the summit trek.
In the evening, enjoy the stunning views of the snow-covered Himalayan peaks as the sun sets over the mountains. We have an early night to prepare for the summit attempt the following day.
Stay: Overnight camping at Kedarkantha Base Camp.

DAY 4SUMMIT DAY - KBC TO SUMMIT TO SANKRI(12,500ft | ~14kms)

We start early, around 3:00 AM, for the final summit push towards Kedarkantha Peak.
After a quick refreshment, we begin our ascent under the guidance of our trek leaders. The trail involves a steep climb through mountain terrain, with the difficulty depending on snow and weather conditions.
Upon reaching the summit at approximately 12,500 ft, we witness breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges. On a clear day, the views may include the Gangotri and Yamunotri ranges, Har Ki Dun, and the Rupin–Supin valleys.
We spend some time at the summit capturing photographs and enjoying the spectacular mountain scenery before beginning our descent.
After descending to the base camp, we continue our trek towards Sankri after Lunch. Upon reaching Sankri, we check in to our homestay and relax after a long and rewarding day of trekking.
Stay: Overnight at Sankri Homestay.

DAY 5SANKRI TO DEHRADUN(230kms)

After breakfast, we check out from our homestay and begin our return journey from Sankri to Dehradun.
Enjoy the scenic drive through the beautiful mountain roads of Uttarakhand as we make our way back to Dehradun.
We expect to reach Dehradun by approximately 7:00 PM, depending on road conditions and traffic. Participants are advised to book their return flights or trains after 9:00 PM to allow sufficient buffer time for the journey.
With this, our Kedarkantha Trek comes to an end. We depart with unforgettable memories, beautiful mountain views, and a memorable trekking experience with HTC.
Important Travel Note: The return journey may be delayed or disrupted due to landslides, roadblocks, heavy snowfall, or unpredictable weather conditions. Participants are advised to plan their return travel accordingly.
In case of such unforeseen circumstances, any additional expenses for alternative transportation, extended accommodation, meals, or other arrangements must be borne by the participants. HTC will not be responsible for delays or disruptions caused by weather conditions, road closures, or other external factors beyond our control.

● Hyderabad Trekking Club has a right to cancel the participant slot.
● Please do not cause delay and cause inconvenience for others and impact the schedule.
● Below 18 must take the consent of the parents to participate.
● Participants will be notified prior to when the itinerary is modified/ event get canceled due to any unforeseen circumstances.
● If there is an unexpected change in weather during the event, the organizer has the right to withdraw/ retreat.
● Participants should coordinate, disciplined and align together as a team during the event.
● Please do not expect luxury facilities and appreciate being cooperative with fellow Participants
● Though we assure safety as a top priority, Event Organizers are not responsible for any severe injuries or fatal events.
● No refund will be provided if the participant doesn’t show up on the day of the event.
