DAY 1 26th December 2025: Arrival in Tanzania & Rest Day in Moshi

Welcome to Tanzania. Today is all about relaxing and preparing for the adventure ahead.

  • Arrival: Early morning at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
  • Transfer: Private transfer to Park View Inn, Moshi (Driving distance: 55 km / ~1 hour).
  • Briefing & Gear Check: Meet your expert mountain guide for a detailed trek briefing, final equipment checks, and gear rentals if needed.
  • Accommodation: Park View Inn – Bed.

DAY 227th December 2025: Moshi to Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Your Kilimanjaro adventure officially begins today! After breakfast, you’ll be driven to Machame Gate to start your ascent through the lush rainforest, immersing yourself in the vibrant flora and sounds of the mountain.

  • Drive: Moshi → Machame Gate (~1.5 hours).
  • Trek Start: Begin your hike from Machame Gate (1,830 m / 5,905 ft) through montane forest, a dense, green paradise filled with giant ferns and rare birds.
  • Trek Distance & Duration: 11 km (~5-6 hours).
  • Elevation Gain: 1,830 m → 3,050 m (Machame Camp / 9,501 ft).
  • Habitat: Montane Forest, gradually transitioning to moorland as you approach camp.
  • Meals: Breakfast at Hotel, Lunch(Packed) & Dinner included.
  • Accommodation: Machame Camp – Tented Camp.

DAY 328th December 2025: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Today you leave the lush rainforest behind and step into the striking moorland zone, a high-altitude landscape dotted with giant heathers and unique vegetation. The trail gradually climbs, giving you your first real taste of Kilimanjaro’s alpine beauty.

  • Trek Start: Depart from Machame Camp (3,050 m / 10,007 ft)
  • Trek End: Shira Camp (3,850 m / 12,615 ft)
  • Distance & Duration: 5 km (~4–5 hours)
  • Elevation Gain: 3,050 m → 3,850 m
  • Habitat: Moorland – enjoy vast open plains, giant heathers, and panoramic views of Kilimanjaro’s peaks.

You’ll ascend to Lava Tower (4,650 m / 15,256 ft), enjoy stunning semi-desert landscapes, and then descend to Barranco Camp (3,960 m / 12,992 ft). This “climb high, sleep low” strategy is key for a successful summit.

  • Trek Start: Shira Camp (3,850 m / 12,615 ft)
  • Trek Highlight: Lava Tower (4,650 m / 15,256 ft) – take time to rest, hydrate, and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding valleys.
  • Trek End: Barranco Camp (3,960 m / 12,992 ft)

DAY 530th December 2025: Barranco Camp → Karanga Camp

Today’s trek is a mix of scenic climbing and gentle descent, featuring the iconic Barranco Wall, one of Kilimanjaro’s most striking landmarks. After scaling the wall, you’ll descend into Karanga Valley and settle at Karanga Camp.

  • Trek Start: Barranco Camp (3,960 m / 12,992 ft)
  • Highlight: Barranco Wall – a steep but manageable climb offering spectacular panoramic views of the valley below and surrounding peaks.
  • Trek End: Karanga Camp (4,050 m / 13,107 ft)

Today is the pinnacle of your adventure! You begin a midnight ascent from Barafu Camp, aiming to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,341 ft) by sunrise. After celebrating your achievement, you’ll descend to Mweka Camp (3,090 m / 10,138 ft), completing the most challenging and rewarding day of your Kilimanjaro trek.

  • Trek Start: Barafu Camp (4,700 m / 15,420 ft) – departure around midnight
  • Summit: Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,341 ft) – witness breathtaking sunrise over the African plains
  • Descent: Back to Barafu Camp for lunch, then continue down to Mweka Camp
  • Distance & Duration: 5 km ascent (~5–7 hours) / 13 km descent (~5–6 hours)

After an unforgettable summit experience, today marks the final descent. Trek through the lush rainforest back to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your official Kilimanjaro summit certificates, before being transferred to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.

  • Do not litter; keep the trails and camps clean. Dispose of waste responsibly.
  • Avoid causing delays or inconvenience that may impact the trek schedule.
  • Participants must be disciplined, cooperative, and aligned as a team throughout the trek.
  • Please do not expect luxury facilities and maintain a cooperative attitude with fellow participants.

Safety & Responsibility:

  • Event organizers prioritize safety, but are not responsible for severe injuries, accidents, or fatal incidents.
  • The organizers reserve the right to cancel, modify, or retreat in case of unforeseen circumstances or sudden weather changes.
  • No refunds will be provided for no-shows on the day of the trek.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Passport, Visa, and personal travel insurance are mandatory. Our team can assist with visa and insurance arrangements.
  • Physical fitness is required. Participants below 18 years must have parental consent.
