Your Kilimanjaro adventure officially begins today! After breakfast, you’ll be driven to Machame Gate to start your ascent through the lush rainforest, immersing yourself in the vibrant flora and sounds of the mountain.
Highlights:
Temperature: Day: 18–22°C & Night: 8–12°C / 46–54°F
Trek Difficulty: Moderate – strenuous uphill hike, suitable for those with good fitness.

Temperature: Day: 10–15°C & Night: 0–4°C.
Trek Difficulty: Moderate – steady uphill climb, take short breaks to aid acclimatization.
Tips:
Today is an acclimatization day, designed to help your body adjust to higher altitudes. You’ll ascend to Lava Tower (4,650 m / 15,256 ft), enjoy stunning semi-desert landscapes, and then descend to Barranco Camp (3,960 m / 12,992 ft). This “climb high, sleep low” strategy is key for a successful summit.

Temperature: Day: 10–14°C & Night: 0–2°C.
Trek Difficulty: Moderate to challenging – steep ascent to Lava Tower, followed by a descent. Good acclimatization day.

Temperature: Day: 8–12°C & Night: -1–2°C.
Trek Difficulty: Moderate – steep climb on Barranco Wall, then a gentle descent to Karanga. Ideal for acclimatization and preparing for higher altitudes.

Highlights:
Temperature: Day: 2–6°C & Night: -8 to -5°C.
Trek Difficulty: Strenuous – short but steep, and high altitude begins to make breathing more challenging.
Tips:
Today is the pinnacle of your adventure! You begin a midnight ascent from Barafu Camp, aiming to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,341 ft) by sunrise. After celebrating your achievement, you’ll descend to Mweka Camp (3,090 m / 10,138 ft), completing the most challenging and rewarding day of your Kilimanjaro trek.
