Arrival & Acclimatization

• Upon reaching Manali, we will check into our stay, surrounded by beautiful apple orchards.
• This day is dedicated to acclimatization, allowing you to adapt to the altitude.
• You can take a relaxing walk around the area or visit the Beas River to enjoy some peaceful moments by the water.
• We will then head to Manali Mall Road for a leisurely exploration.
• You’ll have ample time for shopping, tasting local delicacies, and hopping between cafés.
• After an enjoyable evening, we will return to the hotel for a good night’s rest.
• If time permits you are free to explore the Hot springs in Manali and do Paragliding. For Paragliding please inform our team a day before so that you can get the Paragliding activity at discounted fare.

After fresh-up and Breakfast, we set off towards Sarchu, passing through some of the most breathtaking landscapes.

Journey Highlights:

• Atal Tunnel: We travel through the 9.02 km long Atal Tunnel, the world’s longest highway single-tube tunnel above 10,000 ft, offering a swift and scenic entry into Lahaul Valley.
• Keylong: En route, we pass through Keylong, a picturesque town where the Chandra, Bhaga, and Chenab Valleys intersect. Nestled along the Bhaga River, Keylong is known for its stunning green landscapes and majestic mountains.
• Jispa: Our next stop is Jispa, a charming town in the Lahaul district of Himachal Pradesh, located on the banks of the Bhaga River.
• Next up is dreamy Deepak Tal & Suraj Tal, small lakes on the top of Baralacha La. Drive and enjoy the mesmerizing views.

Crossing Baralacha La & Reaching Sarchu

• Continuing our journey, we cross Baralacha La Pass (16,040 ft), one of the five high-altitude passes on this road trip.
• We stop at Bharatpur Colony for lunch before heading to our final destination for the day.
• Sarchu (14,070 ft): One of the highest overnight stops on the trip, Sarchu is a dream destination for adventure seekers. However, staying at such an altitude requires extra caution. Stay hydrated, eat light meals, and inform your trip captain of any discomfort.

DISTANCE : – 175 kms.
ALTITUDE :- Manali (6730 ft) to Sarchu(14,070 ft).
STAY :- At Sarchu( Camp stay).
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY :- Journey by the Bhaga River, Crossing Atal Tunnel, Passing through the Baralacha la.

After breakfast, we begin our journey towards Leh, crossing some of the most thrilling high-altitude passes and breathtaking landscapes along the way.
Key Highlights of the Journey:

• Gata Loops: Experience the excitement of navigating 21 hairpin bends, a famous stretch of winding roads offering stunning mountain views.
• Nakee La Pass (15,647 ft): One of the high-altitude passes we cross on our way to Leh.
• Lachung La Pass (16,600 ft): Another major high-altitude pass, offering spectacular panoramic views.
• Pang (14,760 ft): A key Army base, where we will stop for lunch in the afternoon.
• Moore Plains: Ride through the vast and mesmerizing Moore Plains, known for its unique, flat terrain at a high altitude.
• Tanglang La Pass (17,480 ft): One of the three highest passes (above 17,000 ft) on our journey, offering breathtaking scenery and a thrilling riding experience.
• Final Stretch to Leh: After crossing Tanglang La, we continue through Upshi and Karu, finally reaching Leh by evening.

Upon arrival, we check in to the hotel and enjoy a well-deserved dinner, resting after an adventurous day of travel.

After three days of thrilling yet demanding rides, today is a well-deserved rest day to recharge before continuing our adventure.

IMP: As Himachal-registered vehicles are not permitted to operate in Leh, we will switch to locally authorized vehicles for the remainder of our journey.

• Hall of Fame: A museum dedicated to the Indian Army, showcasing Ladakh’s military history and heroic stories.
• Shanti Stupa: A beautiful white-domed Buddhist stupa offering 360-degree views of Leh and the surrounding mountains.
• Leh Palace: A historic 17th-century palace with stunning views and a glimpse into Ladakh’s royal heritage.
• Leh Gompa: One of the region’s significant monasteries, reflecting Ladakh’s rich Buddhist culture.
• Magnetic Hill: A unique phenomenon where vehicles appear to roll uphill against gravity.
• Pathar Sahib Gurudwara: A revered Sikh shrine, known for its spiritual significance and peaceful surroundings.

After a well-deserved rest, we resume our journey towards Nubra Valley, traveling through Khardung La Pass (17,582 ft), often regarded as the highest motorable pass in the world.

• Khardung La Pass (17,582 ft): We will take a brief stop at this iconic high-altitude pass for photographs before resuming our descent, as extended stays at such elevations are not advisable.
• Diskit Monastery & Maitreya Buddha Statue: Visit the historic Diskit Monastery, home to the impressive Maitreya Buddha statue, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the valley.
• Nubra Valley – The Valley of Flowers: Known for its scenic beauty and pleasant climate, Nubra Valley is one of the warmest regions in Ladakh. It is also famous for its unique Double-Humped Bactrian camels.

• Camel Ride: Experience a ride on the rare Double-Humped Bactrian camels, a unique attraction in this region.

After witnessing a breathtaking sunrise over Pangong Lake, we begin our return journey to Leh, retracing the scenic route taken earlier.

Journey Highlights:

• Chang La Pass (17,586 ft): After passing Durbuk, we ascend towards Chang La, the third-highest motorable pass in the world, offering stunning panoramic views.
• Smooth Riding Experience: Beyond Chang La, the roads are in excellent condition, allowing for a smooth and enjoyable ride. This final stretch provides the perfect opportunity to reflect on the incredible memories made during the trip.
• Thiksey Monastery: En route, we will visit the Thiksey Monastery, a renowned Tibetan Buddhist monastery known for its architecture and spiritual significance.

Upon arrival in Leh, we check in to our stay and unwind after an exhilarating journey through Ladakh’s high-altitude landscapes.
