Four shrines.
One long journey.
A reset that changes how you return.
The Char Dham Yatra brings together Yamunotri Temple, Gangotri Temple, Kedarnath Temple, and Badrinath Temple – the four sacred pillars of the Himalayas.
This is not sightseeing. This is endurance, belief, and surrender stretched over mountains, weather, and time.
Char Dham asks for patience and humility.
What it gives back is clarity, stillness, and inner strength that stays long after the journey ends.

Char Dham is not a single destination. Itās a sequence of tests – physical, mental, and emotional.
High-altitude roads. Long treks. Sudden weather shifts. Silent mornings and exhausting nights.
This journey is for people who respect mountains, understand delays, and value the experience over comfort.
Dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, Yamunotri sits at 3,293 m in the Garhwal Himalayas.
Hot springs, glacial views, and a demanding trek mark the spiritual starting point of Char Dham.
Gangotri, the origin of the holy Ganga, rests at 3,100 m.
Surrounded by snow clad peaks and glaciers, this shrine offers silence, discipline, and perspective.
Near the Mandakini River at 3,584 m, Kedarnath is raw, cold, and intense.
One of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and the most important Panch Kedar shrine, itās open only between April and November.
Reaching Kedarnath is hard by design.
The climb strips you down. The silence completes the surrender.
Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Badrinath stands calm and composed amid massive Himalayan walls.
Established in the 9th century by Adi Shankaracharya, the black stone idol radiates reassurance and stability.
Where Kedarnath breaks you open, Badrinath steadies you.
This is a super budget-friendly Char Dham Yatra. Arrangements are basic and designed strictly for people who want to complete Char Dham economically. If you are expecting luxury at this price, that expectation itself is wrong.
HTC is brutally honest about: What we provide, What we do not provide, What is beyond anyoneās control.
We do not encourage drama if darshan is delayed, affected, or closed due to: Weather, Landslides, Road blocks, Overcrowding, Government or local authority instructions.
HTC provides meals only at the accommodation as per schedule. If delays occur due to traffic, Weather, Road conditions, Group pace and arrival shifts beyond dinner time (for example, post-midnight instead of 10 PM), participants will need to eat on the way at their own cost.
This is not mismanagement.
This is the reality of Himalayan travel.
Char Dham is not comfort travel.
Itās commitment travel.
If that excites you, youāre ready.

Pickup from Rishikesh and proceed towards the mountains, enjoying the fresh air and scenic landscapes along the route. Continue the drive to Barkot, located in the Uttarkashi region at an altitude of 1,220 meters.
As the altitude increases, temperatures drop significantly, so carrying warm clothing is essential. Upon arrival, check in at BarkotĀ for an overnight halt. Rest well and prepare for the next dayās journey.

Reach Yamunotri, the sacred source of the holy Yamuna River. Spend time at the temple, soak in the spiritual atmosphere, and seek blessings. After darshan, begin the descent and return by trek to Jankichatti, followed by the drive back to Barkot for an overnight halt.

02:00 AM ā Wake-up Call & Preparation
Wake up early and get ready for the darshan day. Please note that bathing facilities are NOT available at the Kedarnath stay. Participants are advised to plan personal hygiene accordingly using minimal resources.
04:00 AM ā Move Towards Gaurikund
We begin early due to heavy crowd movement on the Kedarnath route. On peak days, local jeep services to Gaurikund can take 2ā3 hours because of congestion and regulation by authorities. This delay is common and beyond anyoneās control.
Participants opting for Mule / Doli services must manage their movement independently and reach Kedarnath on their own. The HTC team will accompany only the trekking group, and coordination for mule/doli users will not be possible during the trek.
05:00 ā 06:00 AM ā Reach Gaurikund & Start Trek
From Gaurikund, the 16 km trek to Kedarnath Temple begins. The trail is gradual but long. The group will maintain a steady pace with breaks as required. Trek duration depends on crowd density, weather conditions, and individual fitness levels.
Late Afternoon ā Reach Kedarnath Temple
Upon arrival, proceed for darshan as per the token system implemented by the authorities. Darshan timing is entirely dependent on token availability, crowd flow, and temple regulations on that day. HTC has no control over darshan slots, queue movement, or waiting duration.
After completing darshan (as per token allotment), move to the stay, have dinner, and rest.
Overnight Stay ā Kedarnath : The stay at Kedarnath is strictly functional and meant only for rest and recovery under high-altitude conditions.
Stay Details: Basic campsite accommodation with sleeping mats provided. Common toilet tents are shared by all pilgrims. Washroom facilities are minimal, and no bathing facility is available.
Trek & Travel Distance: Sonprayag to Gaurikund: Approx. 5 km (by local jeep or walk, subject to availability), Gaurikund to Kedarnath: 16 km trek
This day demands physical endurance, patience, and mental preparedness. HTCās responsibility is to guide, support, and ensure safe group movement under real Himalayan conditions, not to influence crowd systems or temple operations.
The day begins at Kedarnath with crisp mountain air and the first light of the sun illuminating the Himalayan peaks, creating a calm and grounding start to the descent day. After breakfast, we begin the long downhill trek towards Gaurikund, maintaining a steady and safe pace throughout the route.
By evening, we reach Sonprayag. Due to heavy crowd movement and local traffic regulations, local jeep services from Sonprayag to Sitapur may not be available. In such cases, participants will walk from Sonprayag to Sitapur to reach the stay. This is a common on-ground situation during peak yatra season and is beyond operational control.
Arrival at the stay will be by night. After check-in, freshen up, have dinner, and take proper rest to recover from the physically demanding day.
Stay: Basic hotel accommodation with 4/5 sharing rooms, clean washrooms, a good bed to sleep, and bathing facilities available.
Trek Distance: Kedarnath to Gaurikund ā 16 km
Gaurikund to Sonprayag ā ~5 km (by local jeep or walk, depending on availability)
Early morning departure as we begin the journey towards Badrinath Dham, the fourth and final Dham of the yatra. The drive takes us through winding Himalayan roads, passing mountain villages and river valleys, with changing landscapes throughout the day. A halt will be made en route for lunch and refreshments.
By evening, arrive at Badrinath. Unlike Kedarnath, no trekking is involved, as the temple is directly accessible by road. The drop will be near the temple, allowing time to visit and experience the spiritual atmosphere of the town. Overnight stay will be at Badrinath / Govindghat, offering a calm and peaceful halt in the sacred region.
Stay: Basic hotel accommodation on 4/5 sharing, with clean washrooms, a good bed to sleep, and bathing facilities available.
Distance & Travel Time: Approx. 220 km | 9ā10 hours (subject to road and weather conditions).
The day begins early at Badrinath with a wake-up call at 06:00 AM, followed by breakfast at the stay. By 07:00 AM, we start the return journey towards Rishikesh. This is a long mountain travel day, and travel duration depends entirely on road conditions, weather, and traffic movement along the route.
Darshan Contingency (Important): If darshan could not be completed on the previous day, it will be covered this morning. In such a case, the wake-up call will be at 03:00 AM, darshan will be completed by around 07:00 AM, and the journey towards Rishikesh will begin immediately after darshan.
By evening, we are expected to reach Rishikesh around 06:00 PM. However, based on past travel experiences, traffic conditions, and possible delays, a buffer of 4 to 5 hours is kept. We book onward buses to Delhi around 11:00 PM to avoid last-minute stress or missed connections.
Bus boarding for the AC Semi-Sleeper from Rishikesh to Delhi will be around 11:00 PM, marking the official conclusion of the yatra for participants returning with the group.
Distance & Travel Time: Badrinath to Rishikesh ā Approx. 300 km,
Expected travel duration ā 10 to 12 hours, subject to road and traffic conditions

All sightseeing and activities after Rishikesh drop are self-planned and self-funded.
This day is designed with realistic buffers and flexibility, ensuring safety, smoother coordination, and peace of mind under real Himalayan travel conditions. HTCās focus remains on responsible movement, not rushing timelines or creating false expectations.
The bus is expected to reach Delhi around 4:00 AM. However, depending on road conditions, traffic, or unforeseen delays, arrival may extend up to 8:00 AM or even 10:00 AM.
Participants are strongly advised to plan return journeys only after 12:00 PM to avoid last-minute stress or missed connections. Considering the long distances covered during the yatra, this buffer ensures a safer and more comfortable return.
