WHAT THE MEGHALAYA
Meghalaya, meaning the abode of clouds, is natureβs bounty waiting to get explored. This enchanting state in the North-East India with a microcosm of diverse landscape allows for a contrast of experiences and climates, though relatively a small state.
With its mesmerizing scenery, the mountainside offers adventure to give you an adrenaline high and you can also enjoy the tranquil spots of riverside of Meghalaya to rejuvenate yourself. Join us to experience the magic!
β We will meet and greet our fellow adventurers at Guwahati airport around 10.00 AM
β Lets start our journey to the mystic Mawphlang Sacred Grove and transport oursleves to a primeval age; soak yourselves in the beautiful green space here.
β Mawphlang Sacred Grove is an ancient forest with gigantic gods (trees) preserved by the local Khasi people; indulge in our guided tour for the story of the scared grove and its significance.
The travel to Mawphlang Sacred Grove in contrast from the highways is a riveting route through green meadows, hills dominated by sprightly pines and Mawkdok Valley; it will take us around 5 hours to reach the forest groove.
β Start to Stay enroute we will have dinner.

β Wake up call at 5 am and start to Krangshuri falls by 6 am.
The walk down to Krangshuri is a pleasant descent with the gentle ripple of the river for a pleasant company.
β Reach KRANGSHURI WATERFALLS ! Krangshuri is very different from other waterfalls; a magical waterfall straight out of the Jungle Book.
The gorgeous colorΒ of the plunge pool will startle you; turquoise water amidst pebble islands, large rocks, and thickly forested area would be a magnificent vista.

β Proceed to DAWKI: Dawki is a border town in the south of Meghalaya alongside Umngot river, the cleanest river in India.
Whether to enjoy a gentle boat ride through a stretch flanked by forests or to take a dip in or you want do the super duper cliff jumping into the river is left to you!
*Dawki Boating is depends on weather conditions.. if whether is not supportive your trek lead may alter the plan*
β Head to meet Indian and Bangladeshi soldiers posted on the Indo-Bangladesh border.
Though you see goats and cows without any sense of boundaries crossingΒ borders, do not be tempted to cross the border; ironically, the rules are very strict for people here (:

β Again wake up at 5 am (some discipline, lost in the lockdown, will be taught here)!! Post breakfast, we will warm up for the Mawryngkhang Trek!
The spectacular Mawryngkhang Trek is considered one of the scariest treks of Meghalaya.
Starting from a small hamlet in the East Khasi Hills, it takes places over a series of connected bamboo bridges that are laid out by the villagers over mountain ridges,
over broomstick farms, and above roaring rivers.
*Your Trek Leader may alter the plan as per weather conditions*
β Complete Trek and Head to NOKHLIKALAI FALLS OR WEI SHAWDONG FALLS
β Head to Stay and Dinner followed by!
*If Mawryngkhang Trek is closed we will cover MAWSMAI CAVES and WEI SAWDONG waterfalls. Mawsmai caves are formed out of limestone, it is one the most tourist attraction in Cherrapunji. And coming to the Wei sawdong waterfalls which is a three level waterfall that looks like water coming from heaven. As our heart get filled with happienessΒ by the massiveness of the waterfalls, we head back to our stay in Cherrapunji.

Stay Type – Offbeat Authentic Home Stay
This is different from Day1 stay! Sounds Bit less comfort than day1&2 Stay but the experience is authentic!
β (This day going to be more adventurous) After finishing breakfast, Reach Base village and Start our trek to Double Decker bridge
β A visit to Meghalaya wonβt be complete without discovering the natural marvels of Double Decker Living Roots Bridges.
These are unique multi-level bridges which you won’t find anywhere else in the world; the bridges remain covered in rains most of the time.
The descent to the Nongriat double-decker root bridge is an epic one; though it could be little tiring, the trek down of approximately 3,500 steep stairs is completely worth it.
The natural enigma you’ll get to see after such a journey is a heavenly sight.
β Beyond the double-decker bridge, a short but intense trek further up leads to the Rainbow Falls, known for its turquoise pool and giant boulders.
Extended adventure to rainbow falls will pass through betel nut plantations and enters into proper jungle trail.
β Letβs take a dip in blue water Lagoon on our return hike to Double Decker bridge
β Get back to the HOME STAY. Enjoy dinner and sleep overnight.

Stay Type – Offbeat Authentic Home Stay
This is different from Day1 stay! A Bit less comfort than day1&2 Stay but the experience is authentic!
β Bid adieu as you drive back to Guwahati airport through mesmerizing landscapes.
β Enroute ZipLining (Self Paid)
ASIA’S one of Longest Zipline Route!Β
Its very safe and easy and the rush of adrenaline is so addicting and exciting. there are 2 lines – one across the valley and one to side. The shorter one is Rs 400 to 500 and the longer one is 800to 900 RS. But if you do the longer one , shorter one is free.
β After the memorable Ziplining we will start to Guwahati airport to make sure you catch your flight back.
(You can plan your return journey after 6:00 PM from Guwahati Airport)

Note: Flight fare increases every day. So itβs advised to book your flight tickets at the earliest. We can also book for you if you share the fare to us.
β Alcohol consumption/ smoking tobacco/ weed is strictly prohibited during Entire EVENT . Will be expelled from the event If found with consumption.
β Please do not litter any plastic (biscuit pack covers, candy wrappers, etc.). We commit to keeping our events pollute free.
β Hyderabad Trekking Company has a right to cancel the participant slot.
β Please do not cause delay and cause inconvenience for others and impact the schedule.
β Below 18 must take the consent of the parents to participate.
β Participants will be notified prior to when the itinerary is modified/ event get canceled due to any unforeseen circumstances.
β If there is an unexpected change in weather during the event, the organizer has the right to withdraw/ retreat.
β Participants should coordinate, disciplined and align together as a team during the event.
β Please do not expect luxury facilities and appreciate being cooperative with fellow Participants
β Though we assure safety as a top priority, Event Organizers are not responsible for any severe injuries or fatal events.
β No refund will be provided if the participant doesn’t show up on the day of the event.
