SPITI VALLEY:- Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley located high in the Himalayas in the north-eastern part of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The name “Spiti” means “The middle land”, i.e. the land between Tibet and India. Spiti Valley is a Himalayan desert mountain valley situated at an average height of 13,000 feet in the north-eastern part of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Often regarded as a chunk of Tibet marooned in India, Spiti Valley is enigmatic and is interspersed with tiny hamlets and serene monasteries sitting precariously on mountain crags spread across its notched moonscape. The scattered villages comprise of whitewashed mud-brick homes amid rugged mountains and barley fields

DAY 0ARRIVE IN DELHI

Reach Delhi by 8PM.
Boarding time – 9PM (VOLVO charges will be covered by HTC if you opt for DELHI- SHIMLA-DELHI).

DAY 1SHMLA TO KALPA

Distance : 232km(8-9hrs) and Kalpa is situated at an elevation of 2960metres.

After breakfast start Journey to Kalpa, the gateway to winter’s Spiti.
Enroute we well have some quick shopping for some essentials in Shimla and drive via Kufri and Narkanda through some breathtaking sceneries.
A heavy day’s travel will be lifted once you reach the home stay at Kalpa.
After the long journey, warm tea and some nice meals will push you right into some slumber under the breathtaking nights of the Himalayas.

DAY 2KALPA TO KAZA

Distance : 220km(6-7hrs) and Kaza is situated at an elevation of 3800metres.

After breakfast start your journey towards Kaza which is 220kms.
The snowy undulating peaks will now make way to the vast desert plains of the Himalayan wilderness.
Covered by peaks from all sides, this thrilling day will push you deep into Spiti.
Kaza is the biggest town of the Spiti region.
Sitting cute by the side of the partly frozen Spiti river, the buddhist town remains a picture of beauty and eternal quietude loved by all.
We will reach Kaza by evening and have dinner.

DAY 3KAZA TO HIKKIM TO KAZA

Distance : 70km(1-2hrs) and Hikkim is situated at an elevation of 4400metres.

After two long days of road journey, we now venture to explore the culture of Spiti.
We trek up the enchanting Key Monastery, walk over the Chicham bridge, visit Hikkim(is known for the world’s highest post office), Komic(Known as the highest village in the world) and Langza for some fun in snow.
The rural scape of Spiti is bound to open a new way of life to every traveler.
This will also bring us closer to the spiritual uniqueness of the land and what makes these lovely people of Spiti ultra resilient.
In the evening after exploring the places we reach stay in Kaza.

DAY 4KAZA TO PIN VALLEY & MUD

Distance : 80km(1-2hrs)

Start Journey to Pin valley early morning 8am after the breakfast.
Reach pin valley national park. This park is specially renowned for the protection of endangered Snow-Leopard, the estimated population of which is about twelve.
Other species are Ibex, Bharal, Red Fox, Marten, Weasel, Pika, Snow Cock, Beard Vulture, Chukor, Golden Eagle, Griffon, Himalayan Chough, Raven etc.
After visiting the park we start to Men and Women monastery.
Later we start to stay in Mud village.

DAY 5MUD TO KALPA

Distance : 235km(8-9hrs)

We bid adieu to Spiti and its magic by a long return journey through the barren wilderness of Spiti.
Once we reach Kalpa, this time we check out the great wilderness of the Kinnaur region by some short walks around and enjoy the mountain air.
The day also serves as a reserve in case of road closures in spiti district.

DAY 6KALPA TO CHITKUL

Distance : 140km(6hrs) and Chitkul is situated at an elevation of 3450metres.

We venture from kalpa today into the secret of kinnaur, to the village nestled amidst the tallest peaks of the region.
The village of the golden eagles and mountain goats.
Chitkul is the last recognized Indian village, after which is just barren wilderness followed by China.
By the river Baspa, this village is ratified to have the cleanest air in India.

DAY 7KALPA TO SHIMLA TO DELHI

A final push from Chitkul will run us through the villages of Kufri and Narkanda once again, through the slopes and white peaks, all the way to Shimla and Delhi.
Life turns around once we cross the cold peaks into the familiar plains.
We may have to hold you hard to not run back into spiti!
We reach Shimla by evening and then headout to Delhi/Chandigarh from there on.
We will reach Delhi by 6 a.m.

● Participants will be notified prior to when the itinerary is modified/ event get canceled due to any unforeseen circumstances.
● If there is an unexpected change in weather during the event, the organizer has the right to withdraw/ retreat.
● Participants should coordinate, disciplined and align together as a team during the event.
● Please do not expect luxury facilities and appreciate being cooperative with fellow Participants
