ITINERARY

DAY 1Arrival in Delhi – Overnight Journey to Manali

  • Arrival: Reach Delhi by 5:00 PM. For those who have opted for the HYD-HYD package: HTC will assist with your train bookings to Delhi. However, you will need to reach the Delhi pickup point on your own at your own expense.
  • Meet-Up: Gather with your fellow travelers at the designated pickup point by 6:00 PM.
  • Journey: Board a comfortable AC Semi sleeper bus for an overnight journey to Manali.
  • Altitude Gain: Delhi (709 ft) ➡️ Manali (6,726 ft)
  • Distance Covered: Approximately 537 km
  • Highlight of the Day:
    Overnight Volvo bus ride through scenic highways, marking the start of your Himalayan adventure! 🚌🏔️

DAY 2Manali ➔ Jispa – Gateway to the High Himalayas

  • Morning: After freshening up(at any restaurant, bathing facility not available) and having breakfast, we begin our journey towards Jispa, traversing some of the most breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas.
  • Journey Highlights:
  1. Atal Tunnel:
    Drive through the 9.02 km long Atal Tunnel — the world’s longest single-tube highway tunnel above 10,000 ft — offering a swift and scenic entry into the beautiful Lahaul Valley.
  2. Keylong:
    En route, pass through the charming town of Keylong, where the Chandra, Bhaga, and Chenab Valleys meet. Enjoy the stunning green valleys and majestic mountain views.
  3. Jispa:
    Reach the serene town of Jispa, located along the Bhaga River — known for its peaceful vibe and stunning river landscapes.
  • Travel Time: Approximately 4 to 5 hours (including stops for sightseeing and lunch breaks)
  • Distance Covered: Approx. 93 km (Manali to Jispa)
  • Altitude: Manali(6,730 ft) to Jispa(10,500 ft).
  • Stay: Camp stay at Jispa (Beautiful riverside camps with mountain views)
  • Important Note: Stay hydrated, eat light meals, and immediately inform your Trip Captain if you experience any signs of altitude discomfort.
  • Highlights of the Day: Journey by the Bhaga River, Crossing the Atal Tunnel, Exploring Keylong en route

DAY 3Jispa ➔ Leh – Conquering the Mighty Passes

  • Morning:
    After breakfast, we set off for Leh, crossing some of the world’s most thrilling high-altitude passes and breathtaking landscapes.
  • Key Highlights of the Journey:
  1. Deepak Tal: A serene, crystal-clear lake surrounded by mountains — a perfect photo stop.
  2. Suraj Tal: One of the highest lakes in India, fed by glaciers, located near Baralacha La Pass.
  3. Baralacha La Pass (16,040 ft): A spectacular high-altitude mountain pass where many rivers originate.
  4. Sarchu: A popular stop marking the border between Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh, known for its stunning barren landscapes.
  5. Gata Loops: Tackle 21 thrilling hairpin bends offering dramatic views of the surrounding mountains.
  6. Nakee La Pass (15,647 ft): A high-altitude pass with breathtaking scenery.
  7. Lachung La Pass (16,600 ft): Another stunning pass offering wide, panoramic views.
  8. Pang (14,760 ft): A key Army base where we halt for lunch and brief rest.
  9. Moore Plains: Drive through this vast, flat, high-altitude plateau — a surreal sight amidst the mountains.
  10. Tanglang La Pass (17,480 ft): One of the world’s highest motorable mountain passes — a truly thrilling experience.
  11. Final Stretch to Leh: After Tanglang La, we descend through Upshi and Karu, reaching Leh by evening.
  • Arrival:
    Check-in at the hotel in Leh. Relax, freshen up, and enjoy a well-deserved dinner after an adventurous day.
  • Travel Time: Approximately 11 to 13 hours
  • Distance Covered: Approx. 330 km (Jispa to Leh)
  • Altitude: Jispa(10,500 ft) to Leh(11,562 ft).

DAY 4Leh(Local Sightseeing & Leisure Day)

  • Morning: After three days of thrilling yet demanding rides, today is a well-deserved rest day to recharge before the next leg of the adventure.
  • Important Note: As Himachal-registered vehicles are not allowed to operate within Leh, we will switch to locally authorized vehicles for all further travel.
  • Sightseeing Highlights:

  1. Hall of Fame: Visit the Indian Army museum dedicated to Ladakh’s military history and the bravery of our soldiers.
  2. Shanti Stupa: A stunning white-domed stupa offering mesmerizing 360-degree views of Leh and the surrounding mountains.
  3. Leh Palace: Explore the historic 17th-century royal palace with its traditional Tibetan architecture and panoramic views.
  4. Leh Gompa (Monastery): Visit this significant Buddhist monastery reflecting the spiritual richness of Ladakh.
  5. Magnetic Hill: Witness the fascinating optical illusion where vehicles appear to defy gravity and roll uphill.
  6. Pathar Sahib Gurudwara: A peaceful Sikh shrine, revered for its spiritual importance and tranquility.
  • Local Exploration:

  1. Leh Market: Dive into Leh’s vibrant local markets — perfect for shopping Ladakhi handicrafts, woolen clothes, and souvenirs.
  2. Local Cuisine: Relish authentic Ladakhi dishes at cozy cafés across the town.

DAY 5Leh ➔ Nubra Valley via Khardung la – Bike Ride Day 1

  • Morning: After a refreshing rest day, we kickstart our adventure with the first day of our bike ride journey towards the magical Nubra Valley.
  • Journey Highlights:
  1. Khardung La Pass (17,582 ft):
    Ride through one of the world’s highest motorable passes!
    We’ll halt briefly for photographs at the summit before descending (extended stops are avoided due to the high altitude).
  2. Diskit Monastery & Maitreya Buddha Statue:
    Visit the famous Diskit Monastery and marvel at the grand Maitreya Buddha statue, offering mesmerizing panoramic views of the Nubra Valley.
  3. Nubra Valley – The Valley of Flowers:
    Known for its surreal landscapes, pleasant climate, and home to the rare Double-Humped Bactrian camels.
  • Optional Adventures (at additional cost):

  1. Camel Ride: Enjoy a unique ride on the rare Bactrian camels across the Nubra sand dunes.
  2. ATV Ride: Adventure lovers can opt for an adrenaline-pumping ATV ride over the stunning dunes.
  • Travel Time: Approximately 6 to 7 hours

DAY 6Nubra ➔ Turtuk ➔ Nubra – Bike Ride Day 2

  • Morning: Gear up for Bike Ride Day 2 as we head towards Turtuk — the last Indian village before the Indo-Pak border, known for its serene landscapes and sweet apricots.
  • Journey Highlights:
  1. Turtuk Village Exploration: Stroll through the charming lanes of Turtuk, experiencing its unique Balti culture.
  2. Shyok River: Spend some peaceful moments by the beautiful Shyok River, soaking in the tranquility.
  3. Balti Heritage Museum: Visit the local museum to explore the rich cultural and historical heritage of the region.
  4. Scenic Views & Apricots: Enjoy the surreal landscapes and taste the famous Turtuk apricots (seasonal).
  • Afternoon: After exploring Turtuk, we ride back to Nubra by evening.
  • Stay: Camping at Nubra Valley
  • Travel Time: Approximately 5 to 6 hours (including breaks and exploration)
  • Distance Covered: Approx. 180 km (round trip)
  • Altitude: Nubra Valley(10,000 ft) to Turtuk(9,846 ft).
  • Highlights of the Day: Turtuk Village Exploration, Leisure by the Shyok River, Balti Culture & Heritage Discovery, Taste the famous Apricots (if in season).

DAY 7Nubra ➔ Pangong ➔ Tangste – Bike Ride Day 3

  • Morning: After a delightful breakfast at our stay, we kickstart Bike Ride Day 3 — an exhilarating ride towards one of Ladakh’s most iconic destinations, Pangong Lake.
  • Journey Highlights:
  1. Shyok River Route: Ride alongside the beautiful Shyok River, passing through scenic villages like Agham, Shyok, Durbuk, and Tangste, offering a mix of lush valleys and rugged terrain.
  2. Thrilling Off-Road Experience: Brace yourself for some exciting off-road stretches — this part of the journey tests your skills and rewards you with unmatched views.
  3. Pangong Lake (14,270 ft): Arrive at the mesmerizing Pangong Lake — a high-altitude saltwater lake known for its ever-changing shades of blue, made famous by the movie 3 Idiots.
  • Unforgettable Experiences:

  1. Photography & Sightseeing: Capture breathtaking photos with the stunning backdrop of the lake.
  2. Sunset: Witness a magical sunset over the lake, pollution-free Ladakhi night sky.

  • Travel Time: Approximately 6 to 7 hours
  • Distance Covered: Approx. 185 km
  • Altitude: Nubra Valley(10,000 ft) to Pangong Lake(14,170 ft) to Tangtse(12,933 ft).

DAY 8Tangtse ➔ Leh – Bike Ride Day 4

  • Morning: Wake up to a magical sunrise over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, we begin our return journey to Leh, retracing the scenic route with a heart full of memories.
  • Journey Highlights:
  1. Chang La Pass (17,586 ft): Conquer the third-highest motorable pass in the world, soaking in the panoramic mountain views. A thrilling yet serene ride awaits!
  2. Smooth Ride: Beyond Chang La, enjoy some of the best road conditions of the trip — perfect for a smooth, reflective ride back toward Leh.
  • Arrival in Leh: Check in to your hotel and relax after completing one of the most scenic and adventurous rides across Ladakh.
  • Travel Time: Approximately 6 to 7 hours
  • Distance Covered:Approx. 120 km
  • Altitude: Tangtse(12,933 ft) to Leh(11,500 ft).
  • Stay: Hotel stay in Leh

DAY 9Departure from Leh – Farewell to the Himalayas

  • Morning: As your unforgettable journey through Ladakh comes to a close, it’s time to bid farewell to the majestic Himalayas. We will arrange a fixed group departure from your hotel to Leh Airport.
    Please be ready at the scheduled time for the airport drop.
  • Important Notes:
  1. Extra Airport Drop:
    If you require a separate/individual airport drop apart from the fixed group timing, we can arrange a private vehicle for you at an additional cost. Please inform the team in advance.
  2. Travel to Manali/Delhi/Srinagar: Planning to travel back by road? No worries!
    • Daily local shared vehicles are available from Leh to Manali and Srinagar.

    • We can assist in booking your seat.

    • Please inform our team beforehand, as this is the peak season, and vehicles get booked fast. (Seats are subject to availability.)

  • Flexible Return Journey: Due to unpredictable mountain weather and road conditions, we highly recommend keeping your return journey flexible by allowing some buffer time. Your safety and comfort are our priorities.

Participation & Safety Regulations:
  • Eligibility: Participants below the age of 18 must obtain parental consent to join the event.
  • Event Modifications: The itinerary is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. Participants will be notified in advance in case of modifications or cancellations.
  • Weather Conditions: In case of adverse weather, the organizers hold the right to withdraw or modify the event schedule for safety reasons.
  • Discipline & Teamwork: Participants are expected to cooperate, maintain discipline, and work together as a team throughout the event.
  • No Luxury Expectations: Facilities provided will be basic and in line with adventure travel standards. Your cooperation with fellow participants is highly appreciated.
  • Safety Disclaimer: While safety is our top priority, Hyderabad Trekking Company is not liable for any severe injuries or fatal incidents that may occur during the event.
  • Travel Insurance: It is strongly recommended to purchase personal travel insurance. Our team is available for guidance on this.
  • Organizer’s Rights: Hyderabad Trekking Company reserves the right to cancel any participant’s slot if necessary during the trip. The organizer also holds the right to modify the itinerary in case of weather conditions, group speed, or other unforeseen circumstances. All participants are expected to cooperate with the Trip Leader to help execute the itinerary as planned. If not, the organizer may alter the schedule as required for the smooth flow of the trip.
  • No-Show Policy: No refunds will be provided if a participant fails to show up on the day of the event.
Driving in Ladakh:
  • Participants intending to ride a bike in the Ladakh region must carry their original driving license.

AGE  CRITERIA :

Minimum age: 18 years 
Maximum age: 45 years. You need to be reasonably fit to participate if you are 45 to 60 years.

IMPORTANT NOTES : –

⦁ HTC team member not be at all responsible for the damage/missing / lost luggage.
⦁ If there is any additional expenses due to bad weather or any other reason beyond the control of the tour     operator on account of hotel stay, transportation, and meals etc. extra bill will be raised.
⦁ HTC is not responsible for any change in itinerary due to reasons beyond our control like change in flight and train schedule, cancellation of flights/trains, political disturbances, natural phenomenon, etc
⦁ Wearing a helmet, carrying a valid ID proof & Driving license is mandatory.
⦁ All guests will be responsible for safety and security of their own luggage.
