Meghalaya, meaning the abode of clouds, is natureβs bounty waiting to be explored.
This enchanting state in North-East India offers a rare mix of landscapes, climates, rivers, caves, forests, waterfalls, and living root bridges. Though it is a relatively small state, Meghalaya delivers a contrast of experiences that feels larger than life.
From the misty roads of Shillong to the raw waterfalls of Cherrapunji, from the crystal-clear waters of Dawki to the ancient living root bridges, every part of Meghalaya has its own mood.
During monsoon, this beauty becomes even more powerful.
The waterfalls are at their best. The forests look alive. The caves feel dramatic. The roads are covered in clouds.
Join HTC to experience the magic of Monsoon Meghalaya.
For smaller groups, the event may operate in remote mode.
If the group size is between 3 to 6 participants, HTCβs backend team will coordinate and assist you throughout the journey. Local guides will be arranged wherever required.
In this model, the only difference is that a physical HTC trek leader will not travel with the group.
For groups above 6 participants, a trip guide from Meghalaya will be assigned by default.
HTC has successfully operated several batches in this model while maintaining proper coordination, local support, and on-ground assistance.
Participants are strongly advised to book flights with a free cancellation or free date-change add-on.
This helps protect your money in case of unexpected situations such as:
β’ Last-minute participant drops
β’ Very small group size, where the batch may become operationally difficult
β’ Political unrest
β’ Weather-related changes
β’ Personal emergencies
Sometimes, due to rare last-minute drops, a group may come down to just 1 or 2 participants. In such cases, HTC may have to cancel or modify the batch for operational reasons.
Booking flexible flights keeps you safer and gives you better control over your travel plans.
This is a curated monsoon group departure. Meghalaya during monsoon is raw, powerful, and weather-dependent.
Minor changes in the sightseeing order may happen based on rainfall, road conditions, local permissions, safety, and group speed.
HTCβs priority will always be safety, experience, and smooth coordination.
